Cuban First VP Receives Laotian Top Political Leader

(KPL) Cuban First Vice-President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura held officials talks recently with Bounthong Chitmany, President of the Organizing Commission of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Party of Laos (PPRL) at the building hosting the Communist Party Central Committee.
According to the
Cuban News Agency, In the friendly encounter both leaders exchanged views on the current
situation of their respective parties and countries, the excellent performance of bilateral relations, as well as international matters.
Machado Ventura reaffirmed the priority and importance that relations with the Laotian Revolutionary Party and government mean to the Cuban Communist Party and government.
For his part, the Laotian leader reiterated his government’s and party’s determination to keep strengthening bilateral relations and the high level reached by the bonds uniting both nations.
Attending the ceremony for the Laotian part were Hiem Phommachanh, Vice- President of Foreign Affairs of the PPRL, Douangta Choumphavanh, PPRL executive and Laotian Ambassador to Cuba Phouangkeo Langsy. On the Cuban part were Communist Party Central Committee members Fernando Remirez de Estenoz and Oscar Martinez.
