Laos and Thailand exchange information on tourism
(KPL) The Lao Airlines held a seminar on exchanging information on tourism of two provinces, one in Thailand and another in Laos, Luang Prabang and Udonthany and it took place in Luang Prabang, last week. The seminar was chaired by the Head of Tourism Service of Luang Prabang province, Mr Khamphoue Phomavong and the Deputy Governor of Udonthany province, Mr Kitphet Sypan. The attendees of this seminar were the representatives of Lao Airlines, Thai International and tourist-related businesses from the two provinces. The people involved in tourism in Luang Prabang province reported on their business experiences and how they strived to preserve the Lao culture. Furthermore, the two sides exchanged information on the services in hotels, guest houses and restaurants and how they communicate with tourists. Luang Prabang province has 30 tourist companies and the various airlines fly passengers to Luang Prabang from eight destinations: Vientiane –Luang Prabang, Chiangmai-Luang Prabang, Kunming–Luang Prabang, Bangkok-Luang Prabang, Udonthany–Luang Prabang, Hanoi–Luang Prabang, Seam Reap-Luang Prabang and Pakse-Luang Prabang.
