PRF investment in poverty reduction in Savannakhet

(KPL) The Poverty Reduction Fund (PRF) has invested 9.1 billion kip in 71 sub-projects of poverty reduction in the most populous province of Savannakhet.

This included 8.6 billion kip for 45 sub-projects of basic infrastructure development and 588 million kip for 26 sub-projects for vocational training. Besides the assistance by the PRF, local beneficiaries contributed 1.2 billion kip to the PRF poverty reduction sub-projects. The PRF last week said that there were 17 projects for education, 11 projects for health and 17 projects of public works.

Fourteen PRF projects have been implemented in 15 development village clusters in Sepon district, seven in nine development village clusters in Nong district, 11 projects for 13 development village clusters in Viraboury district and 13 projects for 15 development village clusters in Phine district.
