Brainstorming on 60-year history of Lao Front
(KPL) Senior and high-ranking officials from ministries and relevant organisations have brainstormed on the 60-year history of the Lao Front for National Construction in preparation for the upcoming celebration of its founding anniversary on 13 August.
The discussion was held in Vientiane Capital on 22 July under the chairmanship of the President of the Lao Front for National Construction, Mr Sisavath Keobounphanh.
“We have gathered here to review a long history of great victory and achievements of the Free Lao Front (Neo Lao Issara) over the past 60 years, which divided into three periods of its growth under different names,” said Mr Sisavath who is also a Politburo member of the ruling Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee.
He further stated that the first name of Lao Front for National Construction was Neo Lao Issara on 13 August 1950, when it was founded. It then was renamed as the Lao Patriotic Front or Neo Lao Hak Xat in 1956 and 1979 was changed again to the Lao Front for National Construction.
He has urged all the participants to give comments to the 60-year history of the Lao Front for National Construction that mirrored the contribution of all partners and state organisations at each period to educate on patriotism and the new regime and mobilise the strength of patriotism for the new regime.
