Lao leaders extend sympathy to China

(KPL) President Choummaly Sayasone and Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh have sent on Monday separate telegrams expressing sympathy to Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao regarding the recent torrential rains and floods in parts of China.

“We learnt with profound sadness of the torrential rains and floods that have hit many provinces and municipalities in China, causing great loss of life and property damage among the Chinese people” .

The Lao leaders expressed deep sympathy to the government and people of neighbouring China, in particular to the families of the victims of this natural disaster. They believe that under the care of the government of China, the people of China living in affected areas will soon be able to resume normal lives.
