Vice-Premier calls on all organising committee to work with high spirit

(KPL) Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad has called on the organising committee for preparing the celebration of Vientiane’s 450th proclaiming anniversary to pay close attention to the preparatory work because many works seems to be slow.

Mr Somsavat’s recommendation was made at an annual meeting of the organising committee for preparing the celebration of Vientiane’s 450th proclaiming anniversary, at the International Cooperation Training Center, yesterday.

The celebration of Vientiane’s 450th proclaiming anniversary will be held in the middle of November 2010.

The event was chaired by the Standing Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Somsavat who is also the President of Organising Committee for the Celebration of Vientiane’s 450th Proclaiming Anniversary.

Taking at the event were also Vientiane Mayor Sombath Yialiher and other high-ranking officials concerned.

Mr. Somsavad has praised for the previous month works of all organisiong sub-committees. This proves the implementation of focal three action plans and 21 programmes, of which some works have been completed and some work is in full swings to ensure that all works will be completed before the celebration.

The celebration of Vientiane’s 450th proclaiming anniversary has remained only 124 days but the implementation of all proprogrammes and frameworks seems to be slower than the expectation, particularly the implementation of six slogans of Vientiane Capital for welcoming the Celebration of Vientiane’s 450th Proclaiming Anniversary and light decoration along the streets.
