Standing Deputy Premier inspects projects for Vientiane’s 450th anniversary
(KPL ) Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Somsavat Lengsavad, last Friday took a field visit to construction sites of projects set for the celebration of Vientiane’s 450th anniversary.
The projects visited by Mr. Somsavat, who is also President of Organising Committee for the Celebration of Vientiane’s 450th Anniversary as National Capital of Laos Celebration, included the King Anouvong Casting Project, the Chao Anouvong Park Construction Project and the National Music School Construction Project.
Accompanying Mr. Somsavat were Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Mounkeo Oraboune, and the latter’s deputy Mr. Bouangeun Saphouvong, and relevant officials.
The celebration of Vientiane’s 450th anniversary as national capital of Laos has been scheduled for November 15-21, 2010.
