VUDAA focuses on city development
(KPL) Vientiane Urban Development Administration Authority (VUDAA) have been focussing on city development works for the last two months, from September to November. For the Kamphengmeuang (wall city) road and T2 road, with a combined stretch of 6.3 km, the percentage of completion is 24.3 per cent. Road renovation work on the Nongbouathong-Dongnasok, That Dam-Sisangvone-Hongkae Road, leading to the lane of the Party Central Training Propaganda and Don Chan village has been completed and the length of this stretch is 2.2 km. Road repair work on Thaphalanesai road is on a 100 metre stretch and 50 per cent has been completed. The information on the road repairs came from an unidentified source who said that the progress report was revealed during a meeting in Vientiane on 27 November. It was chaired by Deputy Mayor of Vientiane, Bounchan Sinlavong, who is also the Chairman of VUDAA. The other attendees were the chiefs of four districts and other officials.During this meeting, the participants discussed a report on a survey on traffic lights and street lighting. There was a proposal to improve lighting in Lane Xang Avenue Public Park and the lane to the National Assembly Hall. The participants also looked at the possibility of mobilizing members of the public to carry out cleaning work on roads, public parks, lanes and other places.
