Friendship insignia conferred on German-Lao Friendship Association President

(KPL ) On 9 March, President of the National Agency for Science and Technology, Prof. Dr Bountiem Phissamay, representing the Lao government, presented the Friendship insignia to President of the German-Lao Friendship Association Mr Ludwig Neuber, in recognition of his work in education, health and sports.

The award marks the significant contribution made by Mr Neuber in this field, and his dedication throughout the 10 years of work in support of several sectors of the Lao government.

Largely through his contribution to various education projects, he has strengthened the government’s capacity, and has donated capital to the construction of schools and hospitals, and helped teachers to improve their teaching methods.

The ceremony was attended by German Ambassador to Laos, Dr Peter Wienand, Lao-German Friendship Association President, Associate Prof Dr Som-ok Kingsada, and government officials.
