Organic vegetable Plantation promoted in Luangprabang

 (KPL) The Luangprabang province is promoting the organic vegetable plantation in order to improve the living condition of the local people and to attract more tourists to the province.

Mr. Somsack Bounanouvong, Director of project to develop and promote the Organic vegetable Plantation, agriculture and forestry department of Luangprabang province said that his organization has received a resource from the government of Switzerland, a project to promote the sustainable tourism, and clean production program of UN to promote the organic vegetable plantation in his province.

The 85.27 ha project has started since July 2011 with 402 families in 15 villages of five districts. The project has organized a training course on organic plantation to all project’s families before their real plantation.
