Gravity-fed water supply development in Beng district

(KPL) Since March 18, people in Xienglai village, Beng district, Oudomsay province have had access to clean water after completion of a gravity –fed water supply with 2,700 meter.
The construction of cost the facility totalled 104 million kip, h 62 million kip was from the contributions from local people and the rest was granted by NGO of Germany.
There are now a total of 10 gravity-fed water systems, 29 bore wells, and 394 wells in the district of Beng. These water sources sufficiently meet the daily need of the district’s population.
