Vice President receives Chinese high-ranking delegation

 (KPL) Vice President Bounnhang Vorachit yesterday received a courtesy visit of high-ranking delegation from China led by a member of Chinese Communist’s Party Central Committee, Mr Yuan Chunqing during his working visit to Laos on 5-7 February.

The main objective of Chinese delegation is to exchange an annual visit between two parties, Laos and China, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 6 February.

Mr Bounnhang has highly valuated Mr Chunqing’s visit and his delegation to Laos, which is a great contribution to the existing bilateral relation and cooperation between two parties, states and peoples of Laos and China.

He also praised the achievement of the bilateral meeting between Shan Xi and Luang Prabang provinces, which contributed to the strength of friendly existing relations and cooperation.

Vice President Bounnhang briefed the current emerging conditions and also highly valued the previous bilateral cooperation and expressed his whole-heartedly thanked to the government and people of China for the great assistance to the Lao revolutionary process in the past till nowadays.

Mr Chunqing who is also Party Secretary of Shan Xi province has expressed thanks for a warm welcome and happiness to see the significantly achievements of Lao national development.

He briefed his achievement of working visit and result of meeting between Shan Xi and Luang Prabang provinces we have agreed to establish the friendship town between Luang Prabang and Jin Zhong districts.

The agreement would be a great contribution to the existing bilateral and friendship relation as well as comprehensive cooperation ties between two countries.

Mr Chunqing and his delegation have also called on Deputy Foreign Minister, Mrs Sounthone Sayachack and visited some grassroots production in Luang Prabang province.
